laurafluteHe endorses a plan that prevents military personnel from retiring/deactivating on time if their unit is shipped to Iraq or Afghanistan. Guess that's what they get for fulfilling their National Guard commitment, unlike their Commander in Chief.
He signs an unconstitutional ban on partial birth abortion. Not unconstitutional because it bans an abortion procedure, but because it leaves no provision for the health and safety of the mother. I don't have a beef with people who are against abortion. To each their own. But the medical community testified before Congress that this was the safest procedure to perform in a second trimester abortion, and if I was in my second trimester and my doctor said "It's either this procedure or your life," I'd burst into tears and give them the go ahead. They'd need to pump me with anti-depressants afterwards, but better than wheeling me down to the morgue because Bush was on his fucking soapbox.
