To my fellow bah-humbugers
Dec. 24th, 2005 06:47 pmYou know who you are. ;)
Tomorrow is a day of forced family fun. We shall smile painfully through the carnage together wherever we are, knowing one day it will pay off. Perhaps a a distant relative will come to love us from these awkward events and leave us their massive hidden fortune. Maybe you'll arrive at your in-laws and find, awww, too bad, your MIL came down with food poisoning and will only be able to grant you 5 minutes of face time before she retreats to the bedroom for the rest of your stay. Or maybe you'll have the satisfaction of your sister-in-law FINALLY telling your brother to shut up and sit down and show the rest of the family some respect.
We can all dream, can we not?
To quote Christmas Vacation: "It's Christmas, and we're all in misery."
May any holiday miseries you encounter be mercifully short, and may your access to alcohol be plentiful.
On a happier note, I'll hopefully have niece pics after my family's togetherness.
