And awaaaaaaaaaay we go!
Aug. 5th, 2005 01:06 pmWhere the hell to, I have no clue...
My car broke AGAIN Tuesday night. Same goddamn problem. We're getting someone else to fix it. The garage that fixed it the first and second time was supposed to tow it last night, but that didn't happen. I called my parents today (because it's their money) and told them. If it's there when I get home, that garage better duck and cover. They're gonna get cussed back into the Paleoproterozoic.
Working on my fic. I expect to spend a marathon on it this weekend, so be on the lookout. Yanks, have you read my bastard fic yet? Just wondering.
Actually got some stuff done at work this morning. In a lull now and not fighting it. I don't dislike my immediate supervisor, but I don't think he's crazy about me. Just a feeling, no examples to give. But I'm here because all of them down here severely fucked up the bureaucratic end of truck selling, so maybe my being here is a "you're lucky we didn't fire you" reminder or something. His bosses love me so far, so....?
My main struggle, aside from the aforementioned, is getting them to give me the work I'm supposed to do. They're so used to doing it themselves or they decide it's quicker for them to do it (wrongly) than teach me that I sometimes sit here with little to do and put myself at risk of getting in trouble by talking on IM and writing on the LJ client. If I knew more about the business I would invent myself a project. That will come with time, I hope.
Back to work.
