Jun. 4th, 2005 04:24 amApplebee's is getting sued over one of their commercials. I love it. I have one to add to the list. There's this really cheesy one where these two bartenders and a manager are watching TV to see how the local high school football game went. The team lost, and they go "Let's lock up." Then the team bus pulls into the parking lot and the self-sacrificing staff decides to stay to serve them.
(A) If a football bus pulled in the parking lot after close, we would all hide until they were safely down the block.
(B) NO ONE would volunteer to stay. Assured gratuity can make you do crazy things, but that's commitable insanity.
(C) If all the cooks had gone home, that means the manager would have to cook for the entire football team. That ain't gonna happen either.
So I am filing suit for false advertising. :p ;)
