Happy thoughts first
May. 18th, 2005 01:03 pmFirst off, three cheers for Jeff being okay. Still a long and winding road to recovery, but most importantly he is still here to hold Sue's hand.
Secondly, EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Less than 12 hours! Less than 12 hours!!! *drools*
Now for a twistedly happy part. Remember how one of the managers at work was stringing me along with bar and kept saying I was too valuble to remove from the floor before he shut me up by making me the back up bartender? It was divulged to me last night that the REAL reason he dragged his feet so hard is he thinks I'm not pretty enough to work bar. No, that did not make me happy. First it shocked me. Then I got mad -- and smart. This is what made me twistedly happy. See, he's gonna pay. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of his days. Sumbitch gonna learn a little life lesson. Painfully.
See, to understand this man you must know two things: (1) he was 300 pounds as a teenager and (2) he is now this pumping iron shallow Ah-nold wannabe. Instead of understanding people who are overweight (and I am NOWHERE near as fat as I used to be) he thinks we're too lazy to fix ourselves the way he did. He's also the hiring manager and has been hiring beauty over brains, which has caused our overall staff quality to go kaput. Yes, beauty and brains can coexist, but not with these people apparently.
Just wait till I'm done messing with his head.
