First, some Carrie words of widsom
Apr. 12th, 2005 01:35 pmI know I'm going to get old and be one of those crazy women who sits on balconies and spits on people and screams, 'Get a haircut!' I know this, and I don't really fear it. I'd just like to move toward it with as much grace and dignity as possible.
Yup, yup, yup. That will be me in about 3 more years if I keep going the way I am.
Luckily, the problem with the car is under warranty...amazingly. The guy at the garage seemed to conveniently "forget" that when he called and recommended not fixing it and junking it (which, yes, was what I planned to do if the problem was expensive and not covered). A couple of helpful reminders made it all better. I just have to take him the receipt.
I am still mad at my mother for threatening to get rid of Thumper. There will be many guilt trips until she stops threatening. Yanks sparked a memory of her getting rid of the cat farm in high school, including my favorite cat, and Cali only escaped because she wasn't there. I will hit below the belt on that.
