No surprise here

You're a Total Grinch

Ouch! You make the Grinch seem like Santa Claus. Holidays definitely aren't your thing.
Just relax, and create your own tradition. Even if it's drinking spiked hot chocolate and heckling carolers.

Murphy's Corollary to Laura's Finances: The second she manages get a liiiiitle bit ahead, the car craps out. The guy that was working on my car finally gave it back more fucked up than I gave it to him in. So it's at ANOTHER garage being examined. Hopefully we'll find out the total damage (mechanical and financial) before Christmas. And maybe Murphy will cut me some slack and keep it manageable. HA! If it can't be fixed or is too expensive, I will go carless. I can't say I've enjoyed the whole walking thing over the past month, but a lot of our extra cash lately has come from what would have been gas money.

Joe has been sick for 3 weeks. He's lost most of his voice. I was hoping to at least sacrifice presents to take him to the doctor, but thanks to the car not gonna happen. So now the only person who gets a present this year will be Sue (pssst--I need you to email me your address in WA) when I thought I could actually be slightly generous. Joe's still sick, and I still don't have the OT DVDs. That was going to be my Christmas present to myself. :(

Don't care who knows my address - this is the physical one, that packages get mailed to, because they won't fit in the small post office box.

I am sorry to hear that your family's health has been so lousy. We had a bad bout with the flu here, too, but at least it was brief. Try to enjoy the holidays as much as you are able. Snuggling is often effective... ;)
